i find this quite disturbing when you look at the feb 2017 watchtower which explains the governing body errs in their understanding of subjects yet they claim to be god's channel of communication to his people.. what are the thoughts on this?.

in several congregations i attended many elders were downright evil and flat out drunk with power.. many times i personally knew of things done by them that would have been a disfellowshipping offense had they not been elders.
and even though many times these issues and spiritual atrocities were reported to the co's and hq they would many times (if not all the time), get off with a mere slap on the wrist or a forced apology.. why do you believe elders are so protected?.
my theory is the authority integrity within the congregation.

Add in that the law is there, not to bring about justice but maintain the status quo - wait for the status quo to change, ie child abuse gets legalised and no more problems for WBTS. They might even start causing problem for those who took them to court.

If you get a child to behave in a way its parents would disapprove of, then tell it to keep secrets or else - its a way to manipulate children. Add baptism into that equation...
Its a sad lesson to have to learn but all things in WBTS apprear to be designed to make everyone stumble and nuke the powers of reason. Its quite an education, one reason not to go to Uni - why bother? You get one heck of an education at the hands of the GB.

Take a look at this Marc Cora video - go to 1:15:01 and listen to what happened to Paul. His account is only a few minutes long. He was totally stitched up by another elder who duped him into identifying those who would stand up for him.
it was made by a women who in later years wore crotchless panties and bras which had holes in the nipple areas.
he not only knew the woman in question (she's now deceased), he has met her numerous times.
up until recently this secret of her year's long sexual affair with rutherford was kept by the family.

Diogenesister - I remember the sentiment in the 70s. The decade started off with hippies who were love-in types. Some wanted to legalise LSD and call it the Holy Sacrament.
Dropoffyourkeylee - there's an eye on Sammy Davis Jnr's hand in this video from 1969 which reflects the Age of Aquarius feel at the time. I remember when Neil Armstrong walked on the moom, the Age of Aquarius got played like a theme to the moon landing.

I remember a pioneer telling me about the existence of 'evil slave' in the congregation. It was back in the 60s or 70s I imagine. But when she said 'we had evil slave,' it sounded like they had an uncomfortable health problem. Maybe they needed some Epsom Salters.
